Micro Horizontal Directional Drilling
Coastal Horizontal can install all types of pipes ( Poly, PVC, Steel etc.) under bitumen, concrete, trees, houses and much more without the need for excavation. We install water services, electrical, plumbing ( to grade), water & sewer. We can install pipes from 20mm up to 600mm up to to lengths of 70 meters. Our equipment can be launched from the grounds surface and steered beneath the obstacle or launched from a small excavated pit. We are based on the Sunshine Coast and service wider QLD and Australia.

MINIMAL FOOTPRINT
Our equipment can fit in places others can't. With a footprint of only a small excavator the drill rig is extremely versatile. The Directional Drilling attachment can drill at almost any grade and is completely track-able and steerable under the earth.
NO PROJECT TOO SMALL
We specialise in smaller projects that larger companies can't or won't attempt. Each drill setup is a one-man operation, saving the client. All drillers have the required Trenchless Technologies qualifications.
THE PROCESS
Pit Launched or Surfaced Launched directional drilling begins with setting up the drill rig either at a negative grade on the earths surface (Surface Launched) and steering the attachable drilling rods one by one until the obstacle has been passed or drilling from a pit to achieve a required grade (or if there is not enough room). Once the road or obstacle has been drilled under a reamer is then attached to the drill rods to open the hole to the required size. Pipe is then pulled underneath the road or obstacle.
